Sourcing top talent

Sourcing top talent

With phenomenal resources you may be able to consistently source top talent.

Once you get someone in the door for a conversation, particularly in a hospitality business, you need to treat candidates as potential guests, not future subordinates. Win over candidates by demonstrating passion and make jobs attractive, and recognize and plan for, that great people are looking to learn and grow.

Don't look for ‘perfect’ employees, but rather a combination of the right skills and traits. Therefore focus on what people can to do with their skills rather than what they have. Assess candidates based on shared values; do they fit our team.

Also make great efforts in integrating new hires and take personal accountability for their success, recognizing that without your support their probability of failure is high.
