Mindfulness (what's the use?)

Mindfulness (what's the use?)

Gold-standard studies show that there is less mind wandering and distractibility among those who practice regular mindfulness routines.

These people showed better concentration, even when multi-tasking. Benefits of mindfulness include:

1) Stronger focus

2) Staying calmer under stress

3) Better memory

While you may be skeptical about mindfulness, there are payoffs from a meditation habit. Research does show that more hours of meditation provide better results on the fronts described above. Think of mindfulness as a way to enhance mental fitness, just as workouts at the gym build physical fitness.
